What is an HTML email anyway?
An HTML email is an email that contains text and graphics, usually presented in a nicely designed way. HTML format emails can be viewed by 90-95% of users and are considerably more impactful than a plain text email. HTML is the language that is used to program web pages.
Do I need technical or programming skills to build HTML emails using this system?
Our programmers have built Velocity121 with non-technical users in mind. As long as you can get an image from your scanner, digital camera or other source onto your computer you should have all the skills you need to use this system. That doesn't mean if you have technical skills this isn't the tool for you - our own programers use this system for it's speed and ease of use!
Do I need to be a web designer to create these kind of emails?
The email templates are pre-designed and ready for you to use. The system will automatically scale your images to size and the templates will automatically layout your content in a professional manner. We've done it for you - so no design skills are required!
Why can't I upload my Photoshop or PDF file to use as a thumbnail picture?
The system only supports JPEG, GIF and PNG image types. Export or save from your graphics package to one of these formats.
Why can't I upload my Flash advertising banner into the system?
Use of Flash within emails is generally to be avoided mainly due to a variety of technical or security related issues associated with it.
My images aren't square. Will the system crop them or squash them to make them square when uploaded?
No, the system scales the images in proportion to maintain their correct shape and aspect ratio.
In your demonstrations the database sections are not relevant to my company. Is this easy to change or do I have to use this as it is?
The database sections and subsections can be changed to exactly meet your requirements. The system includes the ability to very simply add, remove or rename the entire database. So whether you are a plumbing supplies company, a lifestyle management guru or an internet consultancy it can be adapted to exactly meet anyones needs.
Do I need to download or install anything on my computer to use this?
Velocity121 is entirely web based and so long as you have a current standard web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox you will have all you need. On Macintosh we suggest you install Firefox as Safari does not support all of the features required to use Velocity121.
Can Velocity121 be used to send bulk emails or do email broadcasting?
Velocity121 is mainly intended for use as an individual email building tool with processes optimised for building not sending email. However you can easily copy the HTML code from the system to paste into the bulk emailing application of your choice. You will still find using velocity saves time and effort.
Can I send emails to a group of people from this system?
The system itself is a single email based system, however there are many simple ways to achieve sending the email once it has been created on to a group of people. The options range from using your own email client and forwarding to multiple recipients to a whole host of bulk email tools which are available online or as a downloaded application.
Does this system track opening and click throughs from emails it creates?
As this system is designed for creating individual emails tracking is not built into this.
Can I program or create my own email templates for use in Velocity121?
Sorry no. However if you have a specific design you would like programmed to work with our system please contact us and we'll discuss the options available. Do note however all the standard email designs that come with Velocity121 will include your logo if you have uploaded it into the system.
